BMI calculator

Body Mass Index — a rough but useful starting point. BMI doesn't measure muscle, frame, or distribution; clinicians use it as one input among many.

What the categories mean

Under 18.5Underweight
18.5 – 24.9Normal
25.0 – 29.9Overweight
30.0 – 34.9Obesity Class I
35.0 – 39.9Obesity Class II
40.0+Obesity Class III

BMI and GLP-1 eligibility

Most clinicians consider GLP-1 weight-loss medications appropriate for BMI 30+, or BMI 27+ with weight-related comorbidities (high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, etc.). Your clinician confirms eligibility during your visit using your full picture, not BMI alone.
